Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"We can rebel together." Nel said, they didn't have to be apples and pears, or a beautiful naked lady. "I think your drawings are beautiful. Sad, sometimes. But beautiful."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"I don't see a lot of happy things," Jiro said quietly. He looked down at his journal and then at the assignment on the board. He started to sketch. He didn't have a set thing in mind. He was just going to start somewhere and let it develop into something.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
Nel did the same as she thought about that. "You will." She said, she thought he meant in real life. Not visions. "The group are really good about making that happen."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"What do you mean?" Jiro asked. "I know that when everyone said they'd been through something, they were just trying to make me feel better, but I don't see how so many sad people getting together ends up in happy events."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Because we all know that everyone has had it rough, we therefore aim to keep everyone happy and smiling if we can. Because it makes us happy to see them happy. Because if they can be happy, we can be happy too."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Does it work?" Jiro asked. He couldn't imagine feeling happy right now. He'd always been strange. His life had also always been odd, with his parents working so much. His mother an actress, his father a scientist. They'd both tried their best for the little boy they'd adopted but it hadn't been the best. He'd gotten lonely but at least he'd had his brother. Now that was all gone and he was starting all over again with a new family in a new kingdom. He just didn't know how to get to happy.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"You know, what?" Nel said then as she thought about it. "It does. I've not realised it, maybe. But I am a lot happier." Funny how she didn't know until she was asked. But she thought the same of the others as well, they all seemed happy. Sure, they likely still had hang ups on shit, like she did. But they were a happy group.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Oh. Well then that's good..." Nel sounded genuinely surprised to realize that she was happier now than before. "What do you think did it specifically?" He was curious now.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Specifically?" Nel said as she thought about that. "I don't think it was any one thing. I mean, yes, some of it helped more than others. The group have always been welcoming. They've made me feel safe. That's helped a lot. I think Trent more than anything though. Trent seems scary, but he's a big kitty. He loves being brushed and fussed. So I get to put love into something and feel it bad. In an innocent way and I needed that."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Hm..." jiro said and just thought on that for a moment. But then he shook his head and went back to his assignment. He wasn't sure he could do any of that.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"What?" Nel asked then, to the head shaking. She assumed he thought something negative of what she said.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"I just don't think I can do that. Is all," Jiro said as he continued to draw on the paper that had been provided.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Do what?" Nel asked, she didn't know what she did specifically. "I mean, everyone is different so how you heal is up to you. Something you will figure out. Yeah? There is no pressure."
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"I don't know about that," Jiro said. There was pressure. People were watching him to see how he was going to handle things. Maybe there wasn't pressure now but eventually there would be. And all across the world, because he was some celebrity's kid, people were going to check up on him and ask how he was doing and make stories about where he was now and how he was coping with the loss and all of that. He didn't want to deal with it. He just wanted it to all go away.
Re: Bunnicula's First Day
"Don't worry about it, honestly." Nel said, because she wouldn't rush him. She would be chill and so would the others. "No pressure for you. Take your time."
