When Dark Clashes
Nel has been waiting since early this morning for Bryna to arrive at school. It took forever or so it felt. But there was faker of the year. Nel moved through the shadows and grabbed Bryna and pulled her in. "We can't be overheard here. So please cut your act. He can't even get here."
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna, while aware of Nel's presence, had not expected to be just pulled into the shadows like that. "What are you even talking about?" she asked, not pleased to be ambushed. That was not how this day was supposed to go. She was the one that was supposed to be ambushing Nel.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"He has your mother, so, you're a royal cunt to everyone. I'm sorry about yesterday. I wouldn't have done it if I had known. But I'm only going to give you one chance. One. I can help you, or we can be enemies and you can be a prisoner. Your choice." Nel said because she was dark. She wasn't all that nice.
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna hissed as her eyes went wide. "How did you find out about her?" No one knew about her mother. No one. That this new girl had just figured out her situation in a day could not be possible. It just couldn't. No one knew about it. Not even the teachers.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"Tarot told me." Nel stated simply. "I'll need time, but I want to help. I need info about him. And how I can make your life easier in the mean time."
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna's mouth opened. But then it closed. She had not expected this to happen. Not in any scenario that she had ever come up with. She wasn't really sure that she could trust Nel. "Why...why would you help me?" she asked.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"Because we are cousin's, you and I. Dark fae and darkness. You cannot exist without me..." Nel said, but a lot of things couldn't. "I don't... I don't talk about this, so don't ask... But, well... I survived my own situation similar. I won't wait till you're almost dead to save you, like it was with me."
Re: When Dark Clashes
"I know," Bryna said. "The basics. It's why I left you alone yesterday. Even after what you did in front of everyone..." Which had sucked. A lot. She'd not wanted to mess with Nel at all and she hadn't been ordered to. But Nel had taken it upon herself to do what she did and even then, Bryna hadn't wanted to retaliate the way she should have.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"I'm sorry. So do you want my help or not?" Nel asked not impatiently but just because she was eager to get to work.
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna bit her lip. She was torn. "If he finds out I'm conspiring with you against him..." He would do something awful to her mother, to her fiends. He wouldn't even blink or hesitate.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"He won't. I promise." Nel said, though she couldn't go near him, Wolf could. And would
Re: When Dark Clashes
"Fine," Bryna said. She wasn't sure about how much Nel could possibly do to help her but she couldn't continue to live like she was. If there was a chance, even a small one, that her mother could be free, that they could both be free, then she was going to take it. "What do you want to know?"
Re: When Dark Clashes
"is he a human? A fiend? What type? What's his plans? Where does he go? Do you get to see your mum? We can go slow." Nel said because a lot was needed, a fool proof plan too.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"He's a fiend. One of mine, actually. A dark fae," Bryna said with a frown. "So he can't hurt me. But he can hurt my mother. And he can hurt other fiends...which he has." She didn't like to think about that, what he'd done, right in front of her just to mess with her. "I don't get to see her. Not really. We get to voice call every now and then but I haven't seen my mother in person for years. I know where he keeps her but I can't get in. And I can't command him the way the Master could. Which is also why I'm not allowed to go to any of Braxton's concerts..." No contact with her element's master to tell him of her plight. "I don't know his plans exactly. He doesn't tell me everything. I just know he really doesn't like the Fairy Princess."
Re: When Dark Clashes
"Does he have a reason?" Nel asked, he couldn't imagine that he did. "What can I do to make your life easier for you until then?"
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna shook her head, like she couldn't or wouldn't talk about what reasons he had for doing what he was doing. "He wants me to recruit you," she said. "Away from Mireya. You could act like I have." It would be a relief if she did though she could imagine Nel not wanting to.
Re: When Dark Clashes
Nel looked thoughtful. "I'm still hanging out with them sometimes too. Tell your captor that I'm spying for you." She shrugged. She wasn't going to ditch them entirely.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"That would work," Bryna said, pleased. "My followers aren't clever enough to figure it out. If I say you're a spy then they'll believe me."
Re: When Dark Clashes
"Okay, I'll approach you half way through lunch, like to make up and make sure there's no hard feelings." Nel said, she frowned then. "I have to tell the others. They might know how to help too. Okay? I trust them to not tell."
Re: When Dark Clashes
"I don't," Bryna answered, bristling at the very idea. Trusting Nel was one thing. Trusting her rival group not to fuck her over out if spite? No.
Re: When Dark Clashes
"They want to be your friend, but you hardly gave them a chance." Nel insisted, she wasn't budging. "Look, at the end of the day they're good people. You are too, deep down. So let's just get along nicely."
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna really didn't think that it was just going to be that easy. "Fine," she said, obviously reluctant. "But if anything happens to my mother because of them, I won't be nice about it."
Re: When Dark Clashes
"It won't be because of them, I promise you if it happens. It's because of him." Nel said and then just on impulse hugged the girl. "it's gonna be okay, all right? I'm sorry you have to go through this at all. But you should get going to class. Otherwise they'll question where we both are."
Re: When Dark Clashes
Bryna was startled to be hugged. She tensed up automatically but didn't lush Nel away. She seemed almost hesitant to talk. "Thank you," she said finally and fled the shadows to go to class.
Re: When Dark Clashes
Nel was feeling happy about offering to help to someone who had been trapped in a similar fashion to her. The day went fast, and soon it was lunch.
She waited for everyone at their table. But as she did, she opened a group text for them all. She told them to not act like it was her texting, or to react to what she said. Wolf was in there as well.
N: guys, I need your help.
W: what's up, princess?
Hikari: yeah, what's up?
Haru:????
