Re: Blood Curse
"Mother of almost all is different. Maybe we should ask her opinion?" Wall suggested, but his eyes grew a little darker at the mention of the spy. "Sneaky snake. He would do what his master pleases. We don't know which way is up or down, so we can't let them go that way because others want. Let the fish girl and dragon boy decide maybe. They have good strong hearts."
Re: Blood Curse
"I don't even know what we're deciding at this point," Yuui admitted. "My head is still spinning from earlier..." Not that he remembered much. He thought that was probably a good thing though. "Ah well, I shall try and see if Mother is willing to communicate about all of this. But I don't know if this is exactly her Realm..." Knowing the future and changing things in the past was more Dialga's thing than hers, really.
"Ah, but if they don't play along then they can't go home. Although I'm not entirely sure that's true. The Orb the priestess carries could take them home if we found the right person to wield it... But then how do we keep Dialga from just bringing them back?"

Re: Blood Curse
"Brains isn't my department. That's yours, little mouse." Wall said, but he didn't mind listening. He just didn't have the answers.
Re: Blood Curse
"My brain hurts from all the complicated nonsense," Yuui said. "But I'd like to give them an alternative as we discussed before. A way to go home on their own should they choose not to be His pawns. Who really knows what will happen with the End of Days other than Him, anyway?" It was difficult to go against the gods but Yuui felt like those children should have a choice in the path they take and what happens to them and the world. It shouldn't be made for them or dictated by another who shared nothing.
"I wonder why the secrets...I suppose he must be afraid," Yuui said, closing his eyes as his body tired. He rested his head against Wall's chest.

Re: Blood Curse
"Dialga? No, he is not afraid. I think he is testing us all." Wall said, but he said it quietly as Yuui was falling asleep
Re: Blood Curse
Yuui fell asleep. It was only easy when he was being held by Wall. He drifted in and out of consciousness for a while until he had rested enough to rejoin the others. But waking brought back the thirst he could not ever keep down for long. That was the thing with hunger though. You could eat, but you'd be hungry again. And he was.
He bit Wall with his eyes still closed. He didn't mean to. He just thought about how hungry he was and his body just reacted to it.

Re: Blood Curse
Wall didn't flinch, he'd been in worse pain than this. So he wasn't worried. He was happy that he'd done it on his own this time.
Re: Blood Curse
Yuui had really done it without thinking. He didn't even realize until after. "I'm sorry," he said apologetically and kicked the wound gently until it closed. The light shining through the broken areas of the roof showed that it was morning. But how could that be? "How long was I sleeping?" He asked, suddenly worried he'd held them up for too long.
Re: Blood Curse
"No sorry, little mouse." Wall shook his head. He didn't ever have to be sorry for feeding. "If you feel rested and healed then you slept long enough."
Re: Blood Curse
"Ah," Yuui said with a dramatic sigh. "If you're not telling me then you'll know that I'll think it's been too long," he said. But there was nothing to be done about it now. It had happened.
He stood up, a little unsteady on his feet. He held onto Walls massive shoulder until he'd gained his balance. He noticed the clothes he was wearing now we're not bloodstained or ruined. "Did you...?" He didn't finish the question. It didn't matter. As if he had gone swimming with Wall in the lake by the temple as a child.

Re: Blood Curse
Wall said nothing but waited until Yuui had his balance. Then he also stood. "Food for me and the others and then we leave, little mouse. You must stay in shadows, or shade your face. Sunlight is not friendly to you. But it won't kill you."
Re: Blood Curse
"Ahhh well that's not going to be fun at all," Yuui said and his shoulders drooped. Not all the roads they walked were shaded. And he didn't exactly have a hat to protect his face. But he looked through his pack and found a cloak with hood he wore in terrible weather. He put that on and then stepped outside into the bright morning.
Re: Blood Curse
Wall was cautious. "How does little mouse feel?" He asked, he saw the others, but he held a hand up. They could wait a moment.
Re: Blood Curse
Yuui had thought to put gloves on as well so that none of his skin was showing. "I'm just a little dizzy," he admitted to Wall and looked down. His golden eyes were taking just a little longer to adjust to such bright light.
Megumi stood up when she noticed the door to the little shed open and Yuui come out. She couldn't see his face because of the hood that he wore.
Jihae did not stand but he did look over. He was making them breakfast. No point in burning it just to get a better look at the now vampire.

Re: Blood Curse
Hikari was up. As soon as Wall's hand went down, she ran over to Yuui and hugged him so hard. "Oh man, I'm so happy to see you! Are you okay?"
Wall went quiet as he watched Drake be hesitant to come over. But he knew he'd make sure Yuui knew he was happy he was alive.

Re: Blood Curse
Yuui wrapped his arms around Hikari and smiled. "I'm fine," he assured her. "I'm so sorry to have worried you, little pearl."
Jiro sat there beside Drake, also watching as he hesitated. "Master, you must be more careful," he said quietly. "If the priest dies this journey cannot have a happy ending."

Re: Blood Curse
"It's okay, Yuui! Just don't do it again. We'd be lost without you," Hikari said and squished him. She wasn't at all scared of what wall had done.
Drake looked down at his kitty then. "Jiro, I have a feeling that this doesn't have a happy ending anyway." He said softly.

Re: Blood Curse
Yuui was relieved. He knew that they were hunters. They had likely killed vampires before. And he was one now. But she didn't seem repulsed or scared. He rested his head on hers. "I'll try not to, he promised."
"There are paths where it does," Jiro said. "There are not many but they do exist," he said.

Re: Blood Curse
"Thanks." Hikari said and smiled. "We are just having breakfast, but I assume you had yours already?" She said, she was just glad he was back and they had helped other vampires. Ones who could live without killing humans. She had faith that yuui would be the same.
"Have you seen my life Jiro? I know you see the future, but can you see the past?" Drake said and smiled sadly. "I don't think I'm lucky enough to pull it off but I'm not going to give up. I'll try."

Re: Blood Curse
"I did," Yuui said. "But I will sit with you." He did not wonder at the siblings not coming over. Nor the snake. But it made him just a little sad that Drake had hesitated and decided to not. He did not show it. He wore the same smile as always when walking with her to join the others.
"I cannot see the past," Jiro said. "I only see the future and then sometimes just in fragments." It wasn't always enough to know what it meant totally.

Re: Blood Curse
"Hey buddy," Drake said and squeezed Yuui's arm when he got close. "You good? You had me worried." He said as he fussed on Jiro with his spare hand. He wasn't the best at expression, but he did try.
Hikari sat next to Yuui. She held on to one of his arms and she was quiet as she ate.
Snake said not a damn thing. He didn't have a right to weigh in on this. But he was glad that yuui was okay.

Re: Blood Curse
"I'm fine," Yuui said with a smile for Drake. He rested his hand on Drake's shoulder. "Are you?"
Megumi sat down. She was frowning. "Yuui...I'm so sorry..." She'd not had enough magic left to save him and she felt awful for it.
"That's all right, Princess."

Re: Blood Curse
Drake smiled, but he didn't say anything. Everyone else had to do their things. He'd get to talk to Yuui about it later. He wasn't okay.
Not even a little bit.
Not even a little bit.
Re: Blood Curse
Later came as it always does. They continued on after breakfast and while on the road it was hard to have a proper conversation, Jiro was able to See a shortcut that brought them to an Inn just off the road for travellers going between towns.
Yuui, being extroverted and charming was able to haggle for a good price for the night and keep them out of the storm that was starting to settle in.
"Did you want to speak with me?" He asked Drake quietly after they'd all had dinner together in the main room. Drake had hardly spoken all day and it was super obvious to Yuui that he was keeping something in.

Re: Blood Curse
Drake just sort of shrugged. "I'm not... I'm not good at talking. It's hard for me. I just need to know you're okay." He said honestly.
