"It's okay," Jiyong said because he was fussy. "But they don't tend to overcook their meat and they remember basil in their tomato sauces."

"Hes fussy. I'm not. Though I think it's nice here too. They don't give you those tiny portions." Taeyang said.

Jiyong nodded, "even though I enjoy cooking and have somewhat of a talent with it, those tiny portions that are considered gourmet and a delicacy are ridiculous. How can one feed a dragon on a grain of rice?"

"Yeah, I never really got that either," Gaius said. "Maybe that's how all the famous people stay skinny...They just never eat anything." It would likely be enough for him. He was little. But for a dragon of any decent size? No.

"I think the point was you got to try a lot of different things so the portions were small so you could actually eat them all," Sirius said. "But then, people just decided that small portions like that were the thing and that was it. Which is a bit silly."

"We are celebrities. We aren't sickly under weight." the twins said, but then when they started to think on it... Eden had gone through a stage of healthy eating and Tae had remembered a time when he was a vegetarian. The other twins, Mandisa and Mireya were super conscious of their weights as stars themselves. Which they both found silly. "Humans." they said suddenly and shook their heads.

"No offense." Jiyong added for Sirius. "But if you start being silly about your weight I'm going to be unhappy."

"I'm naturally slender and well hated for it," Sirius said with a smug look and a shrug. He wasn't bothered yet.

"Oh if he eats at home like he eats at school then you don't have anything to worry about," Gaius said to the brothers.

"You eat a lot too," Sirius said.

"I burn food off quickly." Perks of being a fire fiend.

"As do we. So food can be consumed in gross quantities. Which is what I expect of growing boys." Jiyong said, because he just did his body needed all of it so it could grow.

Taeyang was quiet. He was just listening to Gaius and the others talk. But he didn't take his eyes off either.

"I can't eat as much as a dragon," Sirius said quickly. "Please don't expect me to. I have to actually fit into the clothes I make." And as much as he loved new wardrobes, he didn't want one because his clothes didn't fit him anymore because they'd stuffed him full of dragon levels of food.

Gaius chuckled. "I don't think they'll be that bad," he said.

"Better not," Sirius replied. "Who eats more? You or your brother?" He asked.

"Me," Gaius said. "Nox is fully matured and not really growing any longer. And he's not as big as I'll be when I mature either."

"How is your brother? Nox, isn't it?" Taeyang asked then, he was good at pretending innocent curiosity. But in actuality...

"I heard he's working for Lucian." Jiyong said, because that's what Nox had studied at the school.

"He is," Gaius said. "And he's doing really well with his job. Do you know my brother?" He asked, curious.

"Lucian is...Dusk and Grim's father, yes?" Sirius asked uncertainly.

"Yes. He is." Jiyong explained, but he didn't say if they knew Nox. That was for Taeyang.

"He works with our brother. Sometimes our niece. We often cross paths. How is he in his personal life?" Taeyang asked, though he knew the answer. He needed it confirmed though.

"He..." Gaius hesitated. He didn't really talk about that stuff with strangers. Not even very attractive strangers. He just felt uncomfortable then.

Sirius of course missed that. "Didn't you say his boyfriend is a jerk?"

"He is..."

"That's a shame..." Taeyang said. Mischief glistened in his eyes. "His boyfriend's name wouldn't start with a Y, would it?"

{Careful.} Jiyong said, not sure how Gaius would take it. "It's none of our business of course. But Dusk lives with us and she has expressed some worries about how Nox sometimes looks when he attends work."

Gaius would have been confused about how they knew so much if not for them both knowing Dusk. He knew of her as she was friendly with Nox. He knew so.e of the others as well. She could very well have expressed concerns to her uncles.

"It does," he said. "I haven't met him. But I don't think he's any good."

"He isn't." Taeyang said, he wasn't going to lie about it. "But, I can protect your brother. If he needs it. If it gets too bad. Call me, okay? Or call Sirius and I'll come."

"He is unfortunately another of our brothers and a dangerous one." Jiyong said, he hoped that they didn't wait until it got too bad. But sometimes that's what it took for people to ask for help. "But, Taeyang has fought him before. He can do it again."

Gaius wasn't sure what to make of that new information. "How many brother's do you have?" He asked. His fingers itched to text Nox and check on how he was.

"There's more of them?" Sirius asked. He didn't know what to think of the current osituation but these two seemed to be related to just everyone.

"Well... Given who we are and who made us, we have many siblings." Jiyong said, with a smile. "not all of them are nice."

"We have cousins too they're okay." Taeyang said with a shrug. "Our family is extensively long." He handed out menus then. "You can text him if you want."

Gaius felt nervous in a different way then. "You never actually said who you were," he pointed out. Which if they wanted privacy was fine but if the one had been flirting with any seriousness, if what he'd felt wasn't just some odd fluke, then he kind of needed to know.

"You're scaring him," Sirius whispered furiously at the twins.

"That wasn't my intention." Jiyong said apologetically.

"I would like to not broadcast it to the entire population, ideally." Taeyang said, pointedly.

"But truthfully if you feel the need to press, we will tell." Jiyong added. They were known for their truth and their ideals. He couldn't be more obvious, he felt.

"No, I understand the need for privacy," Gaius said. It was something he strove to help humans understand as well in his program, that fiends that took on human form did so for a reason. "If you'll excuse, I'm going to call my brother." He got up from the table and walked outside.

Sirius just frowned. "Are you really going to wait for something bad to happen to rescue Nox?"

"I need permission to interfere." Taeyang stated simply, it wasn't as simple as stepping in and everyone being okay with it. "I don't want to scare Gaius off."

"I'm hoping that he will say something before then myself." Jiyong said, as he watched the fox leave.

Nox can't answer the phone right now because his not boyfriend by choice was being a douche bag.

"What happens if he doesn't?" Sirius asked. They hadn't interfered with him until something had happened but they also hadn't known. They knew that Nox was in trouble with his boyfriend. It just didn't feel right to him. Fiends had different rules than humans, he supposed.

Sirius continued to call but his brother wouldn't answer. He left voice-mail and text. And the longer it without Nox coming to the phone, the more panicked he felt. Normally he would have shrugged it off as Nox being busy working late or retiring to her early. But he couldn't get what the brothers had said out of his head.

He stared at his phone for a moment. And then he opened the map app, found where he was, and sent Sirius a text. He dropped his phone into his bag, changed into fiend form, and took off running down the road.

Sirius phone buzzed but he was slow in picking it up. He wasn't supposed to be on his phone at dinner. They considered it rude.

"Are you not going to get that?" Jiyong asked, as he looked at his watch thoughtfully.

"I'll be back." Taeyang said, he managed to get outside before Gaius had gotten far and he easily caught up with him. "Did you just ditch me? On our first date? Am I that bad??"

"I didn't want to be rude," Sirius said but looked at the text since he'd been given permission. "Oh Gaius went home to check on his brother. He says sorry for bailing on dinner and thanks anyway."

Gaius near jumped out of his skin. He slowed down and then hesitant resumed human form. "No, I'm sorry. Nox isn't picking up his phone, which he never does when he's working late, but now I just really need to go home and check that everything is normal. I sent Sirius a text..."

"Kind of rude, your friend, but I will let him off. If you let Taeyang off for chasing him and eventually for dating him." Jiyong said, because he didn't want the drama there. He just didn't.

"I can get you there faster than this. If you tell me where you live. I'm not stalking. I'm genuinely offering my help here." Taeyang said.

"Well you did tell him that his brothers boyfriend is dangerous. I'd take off too if I was worried about family," Sirius said. "You could have waited until dinner was over or something..." He went quiet. "Is it really okay for them to be together?"

"I would feel bad taking you away from your family and dinner. You don't have to do this for me. It's really not that far," Gaius said.

"Don't worry about the mechanics. Tae won't hurt him." Jiyong tilted his head to the side then. "I think I can trust you with this, I have no memory of it, but Taeyang does. They've dated before. You can't tell."

"Gaius the entire reason for dinner was an excuse for me to get to know you. I know you felt that spark. I didn't do it. We did it. Together. Because there's something... " he gestured towards the two of them. "Here. Between us."
