"What do you mean they've dated before but you don't remember it?" Sirius asked. That sounded so odd. How did that even work? "Do you mean like...in a past life?"

"You felt that too?" Gaius asked. "I thought it was just me or...wishful thinking." He had just had his heart smashed by his recently drunken ex boyfriend.

"No as in... In a different time line. They dated for a long time, bit Gaius was... Damaged because of an abusive ex boyfriend. The same brother we talked of before. Plus he'd slept with Lucian. So like, no offense but he was big into brothers. Little bit slutty. But Taeyang loves him. Enough that he went back and changed everything so that Yveltal didn't meet Gaius. He met Nox. Before you protest, Nox volunteered to do that for him. He wanted to help, because he's mentally harder to break than Gaius was. For Gaius, he's only just meeting Taeyang. But for tae, they've already been together." Jiyong explained. He hoped it helped the boy not feel mad about it.

"I feel it. It hasn't stopped for me." Taeyang said, which sounded desperate to his ears. "I want to explore that further. But if you want to check your brother first. Let me go with you. Yveltal will and can hurt you, but he can't do it to me."

"That's pretty heavy..." Sirius said. "You can change things like that? Change the past so it happens differently?" He wondered how. Some fiends could use time travel but they were extremely rare. There were maybe three. And none of them were of his type.

"Why would he hurt me?" Gaius asked. He looked in the direction of his apartment. "If my brother is there with Y...I guess it wouldn't hurt to have your help. And if he isn't, well you can come and we can get to know each other."

"Sometimes. When Dialga, our other brother, is willing to help. I wanted to do it for you," Jiyong said and looked at his hands then. He was really sad.

"Because you're going to defend your brother. That's why." Taeyang said and then took Gaius' hand. More sparks. "I'll take you. Keep you safe." He promised.

Sirius opened his mouth and then closed it. He went really quiet then, thinking about what his life would have been like if they had changed it. "Thank you," He said. "But that's okay. I'm fine, after all. You two made sure of that."

Gaius felt them too. What did they mean? Why did they feel them? Was that normal? He didn't know but he liked it. He nodded his head. "I trust you."

"I only wanted to have taken you from your parents as a baby and kept you for myself. I'm terribly selfish that way." Jiyong admitted, but he smiled at Sirius. "We will always protect you, keep you safe and warm, and make you feel loved. Always."

"Good." Taeyang said and then vanished them into the apartment. "Wait here." he said quietly to Gaius.

But then he walked towards where noise was coming from. Nothing good, that was for sure. Horrible sounds. He burst into the room, but kept his body in the way to block whatever was in there, from Gaius' line of sight. "Brother, must we do this again?" he said then.

Yveltal hissed unhappily. Though, he was not unharmed at this moment. Though Nox was worse off, there were multiple stab wounds on his torso.

Jiyong jerked forward, but didn't move his feet. Yveltal flinched and then vanished out of fear. Already weakened, Jiyong could likely finish the job.

"It would have been pretty awesome to have been raised by you two from the beginning," Sirius said a little wistfully. But if he thought about it too hard he'd get upset. So he didn't. Not right then. Likely it would keep him up that jight, just imagining what his life could have been like.

Gaius couldn't see anything but he could smell the blood. "Nox!" He gasped and changed back to his fox form, trying to squeeze past Tae's legs to get I side and get to his injured brother.

"Agreed." Jiyong said, but then looked at the menu. "Let's order for Gaius, his brother and Tae while we eat? We can take it to them."

Once Yveltal was gone, Jiyong let Gaius through. Nox was a mess, but he was still conscious.

"Hi," he said to his brother as he scuttled over. His hands, were covered in blood but he still scooped up the tiny fox. He'd never cried in front of Yveltal. Not once. But that his brother had to see him like this? That brought tears to his eyes. "I'm so sorry."

"Not your fault," Taeyang said before Gaius could. "Okay, h-up," he said as he lifted them both up. "I have a neice. She makes a real good nurse."

"My 'boyfriend' just beat me up and you're hooking me up with a girl?" Nox said and started to laugh.

"Oh bitch please, you're not gay." Taeyang said cracking up as he poofed them back to his place. The room next to Dusk's.

"I know what Gaius would likely eat but I have no idea about Nox," Sirius said. "Are they going back to our place then?" He didn't know what had happened. He just knew that Gaius had gotten scared and gone to check on his brother. Tae had followed.

"Shouldn't we be taking him to hospital or something?" Gaius asked, chittering nervously. His brother had been stabbed. He was bleeding. He needed more than just regular care. If this girl really was a nurse and could heal that would be one thing but Gaius didn't know and he was worried sick.

Grim and Dusk were in the kitchen. Neither of them were overly bothered by the dragon appearing back at the house rather than walking through the front door like a human would have. But they could smell blood and they just stood there, looking at each other, waiting to see if they were needed or not.

"Yes, Nox is badly wounded. So he is at our place. He will likely require meat and veg." Jiyong said as it was good and nutritional. "Let's get ours to go as well. Sorry."

"I have a healer." Jiyong said as he put Nox down on the bed. "Dusk??" he called out. She could at least clean him and help him into proper clothes.

"It's fine, I'm fine. You don't have to worry." Nox said.

But Jiyong shook his head. He'd already text Mireya and asked her to come and heal Nox.

"No, it's fine," Sirius said. "I get it. Really. We only came out to dinner so Tae could flirt, right? It's no biggie." He didn't like to hear that Nox was hurt though. So when the time came to order, he ordered his and gaius food and then meat and veggies for Nox. To go.

Gaius only relaxed a little bit to hear that Taeyang had a healer. As long she got there quickly then it would be fine.

Dusk came running at his summons. "Yes, Uncle?" She asked, both curious and apprehensive about the scent of blood. She saw Nox on the bed when she came in and looked mildly surprised. "Oh what happened?"

"No, we always love to spoil you. But it was partly that." Jiyong said and ordered soups and other things for both himself, Taeyang and Nox.

"Abusive person." Taeyang said, because he refused to call Yveltal a boyfriend. That was unfair to Nox.

"Eh, I'm fine."

"Hopefully Mireya will be here soon."

"I know you do," Sirius said. "But we can go out to eat whenever. It's not a big deal." He really wasn't that bothered about it. He just knew it hadn't been planned for the night so he wasn't really all that upset when it got cancelled, especially since someone was hurt.

Mireya did get there soon. Tae was lucky that they lived so close together. She pretty much had to be close by since he kept finding people for her to heal. She let herself in with her key and then followed the scent of blood. "What's happened to who now?" she asked as she squeezed past Dusk and into the room.

Dusk quickly moved out of the way. She wanted to help Nox but Mireya really would be better to go first and heal him. Clean up could come after they'd stopped the blood flowing out of him.

"No, looking after Gaius is more important. Your friendship with him has done wonders. So even if tae and him hadn't been a thing before we'd have done this. For you." Jiyong said. Soon enough their order arrived and he paid.

"This is Nox, a work colleague of Dusk's and Gaius' brother." Taeyang explained, he assumed she'd met Gaius. "My brother happened. Yveltal."

"Well that's nice to know," Sirius said. "I know I don't bring my friends over much but they do mean a lot. And Gaius really has been helping me in school..." So it was nice to know they were going to be chill with is friends as well. But it was time to go. He knew the drill. Go outside with the food and away from sight so they could vanish back to the house.

Mireya made a face but she didn't comment. No one liked Yveltal. He was directly opposed to her kind, the fairies, and the magic of life that they provided. "You poor thing," she said to Nox as she went over to him. "I'll get you healed up in a few beats of a fairy's wings." She did know Gaius, from school, but she'd only met Dusk maybe once when visiting the twins. She quickly got to work on healing Nox.

"You can bring friends over. You do know that right?" Jiyong asked then, Sirius didn't live in such a poor place anymore.

"Thanks," Nox said in a breath. He was very tired and in a lot of pain. "if you can't fix it all, that's okay too. Don't hurt yourself to help me."

" Miri is a good girl, don't you worry about her right now." Taeyang said, putting a hand on the guys shoulder. He saw his hands reflexively holding onto Gaius a little tighter and he moved them again. "We got you."

"Yeah I know that. I'm just not used to doing it. Plus they can be kind of loud. Around me. It's my fault," Sirius said. He was always the one riling people up with his energy.

Gaius muzzled the underside of his brothers chin. He refused to move and didn't mind being held or squished. He wasn't going anywhere.

With Nox in human form, Mireya had more to work with. But it was easier to see the wounds as well. "I won't be able to heal them all tonight but I can stop the bleeding and get the worse I'd the wounds to a tolerable level. This will be a process, I'm afraid," Mireya said as she worked.

"I like loud," Jiyong smiled as he took Sirius outside. Then he moved them home with all the food.

"Dusk can help, so it you need longer breaks between sessions, that's totally fine." Taeyang said, because their future master would not approve of working his girl to the bone.
Nox nuzzled his brother right back. "I'm fine, really."

"Don't you kind of have to as a pop star?" Sirius asked with a little laugh. "At least to a point. Or you'd never be able to handle the concerts."

Mireya nodded.

"I can do whatever you need," Dusk said, her split tail swishing with anxiety.

"I'll show you when I'm finished here," Mireya said. There was a lot wrong with Nox. But she was able to focus on what was the worst. The smaller ones could be healed later. And healing him was definitely sapping at there strength. But she ignored that for now, mending the torn skin and broken bones. She worked around the fire fox, not wanting to part them.

"To a point," Jiyong agreed with a grin. But then he put the food out on the counter. "Sit with me and eat?" He asked as he hopped onto a stool at the breakfast bar.

Nox was glad for them not moving his brother. When Mireya was done, he would likely revert back to his umbreon form and curl up with Gaius.

Sirius looked around but there was no one about except Grim, who was curled up in his doggy bed and sleeping. "Okay," he said, hopping onto the other stool and waiting to be handed his food. "Where is everyone?"

"Done, for now," Mireya said. Her shoulders sagged slightly as she stepped back from the bed. "He should be contained to his bed for at least a few days. But I'll come back tomorrow to check on his progress and continue the next stage of healing."

"They will be out soon, Gaius, Nox, Dusk and Taeyang are healing the umbreons wounds. Well, were." Jiyong explained as he set the food out for his brother, Gaius, Nox and then for Sirius and himself.

"Thank you so much miri, Dusk will keep him in his bed. Promise." Taeyang said, because someone had too. "Come, there's some food for you waiting in the kitchen to help you recover. Dusk, come and get Nox's, there's enough to share and some for Gaius too."

Nox was looking at Taeyang then. He wondered why he was being so nice to him when they hadn't even met outside of working for Lucian.

"That was fast," Sirius commented. He didn't remember much of his own healing. He'd only woken up briefly before being put to sleep for a week. That was a very fuzzy time for him.

"On it," Dusk said quickly and left the room with Mireya to go into the hallway and from there the kitchen.

Mireya followed at a slower pace. Food would help but she was almost too tired to eat it. Still, if they'd gone to the trouble then she'd not turn it away.

Gaius didn't move. He didn't know what his brother was thinking. He wouldn't have had an answer anyway. Not the full answer.

"Mireya is very good." Jiyong agreed, it had probably felt like longer to everyone else. But that was how it worked. He pulled Tae's out and put a fork in there. For Mireya.

Tae let them leave the room, he left the door adjar so they could return if wanted. Dusk, mostly. "Do you need anything else?"

Nox just breathed for a moment. Closing his eyes before tears fell down his face and betrayed him. "No, Taeyang. But.... Thank you."

"No problem," Tae replied. He looked towards the door, then to Gaius and Nox. "This probably sounds weird, or rude... But I really have to go somewhere for a bit. I'll check on you when I get back, okay?" He said as Nox was in umbreon form again, he pet them both softly before leaving.

"Thank you, Ji," Mireya said as she went into the kitchen with Dusk.

Dusk immediately went to the fridge to find drinks for the two boys. "What would be best to give him?" she asked, hesitating. She didn't know what Nox would like but that might not be a factor at the moment.

"Water. It's plain but he needs to stay hydrated," Mireya answered.

Dusk poured some water into a little bowl for the boys. She also took a couple of water bottles for refills when they needed it. "Which one is the food for them?" she asked Jiyong. There were so many takeout boxes. She didn't want to take the wrong one.

Gaius felt strange now that he was alone with his brother. Things started to sink in. Seeing Nox cry was really what did it. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. He licked at his brother's tears, his body vibrating with worry and anxiety. He felt awful. He should have been home with his brother. He should have been there to help him, protect him. But he'd thought that Nox was working late. He know how bad it was.
