Pande really would want a different kind of strike. He was not hitting on the master of darkness though. Not that he didn't want to. Wolf was pretty sexy as far as humans went. But no.

He hesitated but then brought the little spirit fox over to sit next to them. "You infiltrated our group to give over cuddles?"

[Cedahlia]

"Well, I wanted to understand you all. Why you do what you do and see if we can figure something out that isn't hurting you, or the hunters." Wolf said, because that was his job as a master. He pet on Hex a bit more and then gave her a break by petting on Wisp. Bedlam got constant ear rubs.

[Cedahlia]

"And what are you suggesting then?" Hex asked. She liked pets. And cuddles. But she tried to resist showing that she did. Because it was wrong. She shouldn't like his. She didn't want to like his.

[Cedahlia]

"Nothing yet. I'd like for us to get to know each other so I can protect you from hunters when accidents happen." Wolf said honestly. He went back to petting and cuddling her. "Let's be serious, as much as you think I'm a bad guy, what sort of bad guy feeds you and tries to hear your side of the story, hm?"

[Cedahlia]

"The devious kind that lulls you into a false sense of security for a more satisfying strike later," Hex hissed.

"Yeah...so. she has issues," Pande said.

[Cedahlia]

"I see that," Wolf said with a chuckle, "I guess I'll have to give you some time to come around. What about you bedlam, do you think you can trust me?"

[Cedahlia]

"I do not know," Bedlam replied. "Your actions so far have not warranted distrust. But we have survived this long by not being so openly trustworthy. I will need time to see that your actions remain consistent with your stated intention."

[Cedahlia]

"That's fair too. I have no rush to be anywhere if you're happy for me to travel with you a little bit?" Wolf said, because no one would miss him. Alex knew what he was doing.

[Cedahlia]

"I cannot tell you otherwise," Bedlam said.

Hex made a sound of displeasure at the idea of travelling with the master.

But the other two did not object. Pande saw no reason to. And if the master betrayed them, well he and wisp could get the other two away.

[Cedahlia]

"I can help by hunting food and making sure you eat well. And we can cuddle and get lots of attention too." Wolf suggested, he hoped they wouldn't mind.

[Cedahlia]

"Don't fuss," Pande said. "I'm sure you'll enjoy cuddles," he said to Hex. The other two as well. He would not get them. But human villages always contained willing parties. He needed only to seek them out.

Hex realized that she was outnumbered. "Oh fine," she said, giving in. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt. Her gut gave her no warning but her stomach still felt sick inside.

[Cedahlia]

"Oh yeah?" Wolf asked and softly stroked along hex's furry body. "I can catch you many fish, make you toys."

[Cedahlia]

"If you want," Hex replied. She was tempted but she didn't want to give in so easily. Belly rubs with the promise of fish and toys? This guy wasn't a dummy. Which sucked. He'd be harder to escape or get rid of.

"Do I get toys?" Wisp asked.

[Cedahlia]

"What toys do you like, Wisp?" Wolf asked, because he wasn't very sure of her type. He was obviously trying. "And, you bedlam? We all know what Pande likes." He joked.

[Cedahlia]

Pande chuckled. It was pretty obvious what he liked. And it wasn't at all child appropriate.

"I am too old for toys," Bedlam protested lazily. A full belly and pets would make him sleepy but he didn't trust enough to give into that.

"I've never had toys," the ghost fox replied. "I play with souls. Do those count?"

[Cedahlia]

"No one is too old for toys, fiends enjoy playing." Wolf protested, it was a fact. It just happened that way. "If I was hunting, I could give you many souls and you'd be so helpful."

[Cedahlia]

"My kind are meant to guard, not to play," Bedlam said. Serious business and all that. He could not picture himself chasing after a ball, for example. It just seemed silly.

"I have a few souls," Wisp said and wiggled her tell to make her lantern jingle.

[Cedahlia]

"Pfft," Wolf said and rubbed on Bedlam's belly enthusiastically. All dogs had a 'spot' and when found it made their leg spaz. "I can get you more. Though your lantern is so pretty.'

[Cedahlia]

Bedlam resisted but couldn't keep it up for long. He gave in to the belly rubs, his leg kicking involuntarily.

Wisp was pleased. He was not her Master. She didn't know who was. He'd not yet been awakened. But this one did not seem so bad as the ones Hex had killed. "Thank you."

[Cedahlia]

Wolf couldn't help but laugh. He loved dogs, he really did. He didn't love them more than cats, but generally dogs were more interactive. "You are all very beautiful fiends, considering you live in the wild. That's a compliment. We have a succumbra in our group, she's gorgeous too."

[Cedahlia]

"Oh?" Pande asked. That certainly got his interest. There were far more females than males of his kind but he had yet to meet one.

"Are these the friends you were talking about then?" Hex asked. "Or was that a lie?"

[Cedahlia]

"I didn't lie about anything, actually." Wolf said to Hex, he'd mislead for sure. But not lied. "Would you like to meet her, Pande? She belongs to my friend, but you can get a good idea of me and the people I hang around with that way."

[Cedahlia]

"Of course he wants to meet her. He eats to make babies with her," Hex said and rolled her eyes.

"Funny," Pande replied but didn't actually deny what she'd said. "I would like to see the sort of people you surround yourself with but I don't think they can handle more humans so soon."

[Cedahlia]

"I don't think her tamer will allow you baby makings, he's rather taken with her. I don't mean today, Aya can come visit with or without him. We will just not tell him you want babies." Wolf laughed, he fussed on Hex some more, making her kitty body melt against it. He would get her love.

[Cedahlia]

He would get her love but it wouldn't tonight. Hex was angered by her body's blatant betrayals to the scratches and fuss. She rejected it in the only way she could: she took on her human form.

"That's cheating," Wisp said.

Pande laughed. He was disappointed that he could not play with his fellow succumbra. It made him a little sad.

Bedlam nipped at Hex's hand. She pushed his head away. She'd rebel as much as she wanted to.
